awesome app! question, what facebook plugin are you using?

      • https://dealcheck.io Anton Ivanov

I use “cordova-plugin-facebook4” to get authentication tokens from Facebook and handle the Facebook sign in flow. That gets passed to Google Firebase, which I use for user management and handling authentication credentials.

        They work very well together.

Thanks, I was wondering because mine looks different, it still uses the old screens, perhaps i need to check for an update though! Thanks for taking the time to answer!

          • https://dealcheck.io Anton Ivanov

I’m on v1.9.1 of that plugin, but they recently released several more updates, which I need to look through. I try to stay on top of all cordova plugin updates as much as possible.

          • Colin Van Mil

hmm strange.. i am on version cordova-plugin-facebook4 2.0.1, perhaps i need to update my app to use cordova-android >= 7 as i am still on 6.4.0

          • https://dealcheck.io Anton Ivanov

Not sure… I’m also on cordova android 6.4.0.

It depends on the target API level for Android. The UI changes depending on that setting.

very nice UI, feel like native app

    • https://dealcheck.io Anton Ivanov

Thanks! That’s the power of Ionic – the prebuilt UI components look great and are pretty much indistinguishable from what you can do natively.

I’m not really sure, but you may want to contact the Ionic team directly about this. They’ve always been really responsive.

      Hey Anil,

We have a backlog of showcase submissions we haven’t approved yet. We usually do them in batches every few months, sorry for the delay.

      • anil

        Thanks for replying.
Actually i have submitted my WishKaro app many times still not published to showcase.
Please try to Move to Showcase if my app is in Que.
I have spent 1year for this to achive this unique app.
We will be happy once ionic submitted my app to Showcase.
Many people loves this concept and design.
        Thanks in advance.

Interesting that they featured such an technically old (Ionic 1?) app, and that the author mentions someday upgrading to Ionic 2 (when Ionic 4 is soon to release).

    • https://dealcheck.io Anton Ivanov

In our defense, we’re a very small team (2 devs) with a rather complex mobile app that was built on Ionic 1 since the start. Switching over to Ionic 2+ would be a very big development for us that would require a lot of refactoring and modifications of an existing code base. We simply have not had the time to do it.

When I meant ‘upgrading to Ionic 2’, I meant 2+, so we’ll switch to the latest Ionic version available at the time.
